Pysae Driver 5.3.17: fixes and improved reliability

The reliability improvements and security hardening delivered in Pysae Driver version 5.3.17.

Written by Patrick

Version 5.3.17 of Pysae Driver is available now as a direct download. Its rollout on the Play Store will begin around 15 July 2026.

This version is entirely dedicated to the reliability of trip tracking and to strengthening the app's security. Here is the detail of the improvements.

🛠 Trip tracking reliability

Trip progress tracking gains in precision on several points:

  • Automatic trip end applies the delay configured at the final stop more finely.

  • Progress tracking has been optimised on looping routes, especially when a stop is served several times.

  • Stop detection has been refined: a stop passed between two GPS positions is better taken into account.

  • GPS position filtering has been strengthened, for ever more precise tracking.

📡 Resilience during network outages

The app handles low-coverage areas even better: tracking data is queued and automatically transmitted as soon as the connection returns.

App startup has also been made smoother when a device changes driver.

🔌 Passenger counting and connectors

  • The manual passenger counter has been refined to avoid unintended entries on a long press.

  • The link with the IRIS counting system has been made more reliable, with automatic reconnection in case of interruption.

🔒 Strengthened security

The application's automated security checks have been strengthened, for greater protection of data in operation.
