Importing a transport plan is now done entirely from the operations interface, with an assistant that guides you through 3 steps: file import, configuration, then selection of the routes to import. You no longer need to go through the GTFS editor to import a file.
The assistant accepts GTFS and Hastus files, shows you a preview of the content before you confirm, and runs the import in the background so you keep control of the application.
Opening the import assistant
Go to the "Resources" then "Transport plan" page, and click the "+ Add a transport plan" button.
Two options are available:
Import a file: to load an existing transport plan in GTFS or Hastus format;
Start from scratch: to build a transport plan manually.
After choosing "Import a file", the assistant guides you through 3 steps.
Step 1 — Import your file
Drag your GTFS or Hastus file (in .zip format) into the dedicated area, or browse your files to select it.
Pysae immediately displays a preview of the file's content: routes, stops, trips, calendars… If the file is invalid, the assistant tells you right away. You know exactly what you are importing before confirming.
Step 2 — Configure the transport plan
Give your transport plan a name.
For a Hastus file, a short form asks for the agency information missing from the export (time zone, URL…). For a GTFS file, this information is already in the file: there is nothing to fill in.
Step 3 — Select the routes to import
All the routes detected in the file are displayed, with the number of associated stops and trips. They are selected by default: simply uncheck the ones you do not want to import.
For a Hastus import, you can also choose the color of each route directly at this step. For a GTFS file, the colors defined in the file are applied automatically.
Following the import in the background
When you confirm, the import starts in the background: the window closes and a notification appears at the bottom right of the screen. You keep control of the application for the whole duration of the import.
You can cancel the import at any time from this notification.
💡 Good to know:
Your existing transport plans and data do not change: this new flow only concerns the import of new plans.
GTFS and Hastus formats are accepted, always as a .zip file.
The preview shown in step 1 lets you check the file's content before starting the import.
The import runs in the background and can be canceled at any time.
