These privacy policies explain what data we collect from the Pysae Driver application, why we collect it, how we use it and to which third parties we may disclose it.

Pysae Driver is a mobile application published by the company Pysae, whose head office is located at: 5 Allée de la Grande Treille, Bureau 3, 35200 Rennes.

Definition of Pysae Driver

Pysae Driver is a mobile application used as a professional Driving Assistance system for passenger transport operators, who are Pysae customers.

The contractual relationship between Pysae and its Customers is governed by Contracts based on General Terms and Conditions (available here: Pysae GTC) authorizing Pysae to collect data collected by Pysae Driver, on its behalf.

The Pysae Driver application is installed on Android mobile terminals (smartphones or tablets) installed in passenger transport vehicles and operated by transport companies.

The sole purpose of the Pysae Driver application is to help coach and bus drivers to drive, and to feed geolocation information back to the Pysae Operations Support System used by transport operator companies to supervise their operations.

The Pysae Driver application is strictly limited to professional use in the context of a passenger transport service.

Data from the on-board equipment in which the Pysae Driver application is installed is transmitted to Pysae servers in order to feed the web-based platform for supervising the operation of passenger transport vehicles, based on the transmission and real-time analysis of their geolocation.

Data collected by Pysae Driver

The data collected by Pysae Driver is as follows:

  • Terminal Geolocation for the purpose of tracking the real-time position of the vehicle for the passenger transport company operating the vehicle. Terminal geolocation is also collected when the Pysae Driver application is running in the background on the terminal.

  • The model and brand of the terminal on which the Pysae Driver application is installed (example: "samsung SM-A105FN")

  • The version of the Android system installed on the terminal in question (example: "Android 10")

Use of collected data

The data collected by Pysae via its Pysae Driver application is used within a strictly professional framework, in order to supervise the operation of passenger transport vehicles, geolocated thanks to the Android terminals installed on board, via the Pysae solution available on the Web interface.

Geolocation data is also used by the Pysae Driver application to provide vehicle drivers with GPS map guidance and an indication of its progress in terms of advance or delay in relation to its defined operating schedule.

The model of the terminals used and the corresponding Android version are used for maintenance purposes and device updates.

Third-party users of collected data

As indicated above, the data collected by Pysae Driver is used to feed the Pysae system of Operating Assistance and Passenger Information.

Third-party systems other than Pysae Driver likely to use this data are therefore:

  • The Pysae supervision web interface (geolocation data, device model and Android version);

  • The "Pysae" mobile passenger information application (geolocation data only);

  • The GTFS-RT real-time data stream (geolocation data only) to feed a third-party real-time system;

  • Google Analytics: use of the IP address of terminals, not transmitted to Pysae servers, in order to provide a statistical analysis of the use of the Pysae Driver application by its users.
