Introduction

As a network operator, you can broadcast traveler information messages via the Pysae Info mobile application and the GTFS-RT.

In this article you'll find all the information you need to create and broadcast these messages:

Please note: these messages are configured from your Pysae interface.

Create a new message

Hover over the "Passenger info" tab in the left-hand side menu of your Pysae interface, then click on "Passenger messages".

To create a new message, click on "New passenger message". A pop-up window will open. Fill in the fields below:

  • Header

  • Description

  • Display period

  • URL (if required)

  • Cause

  • Effects

  • Elements affected

When you fill in the description, numerous options for personalizing your message are available. You can choose a font, its color and size from all those available, the background color, make text elements bold or italic, underline or add photos or a link directly in your text.

You can preview your message before sending it by clicking on the eye at the top right of your message.

You can also click on GTFS-RT to see how your message is displayed in the GTFS-RT feed.

To define the display period, tick the corresponding box. New fields appear, all you have to do is fill them in.

To define the cause, effect and elements, simply choose from the drop-down menu for each field.

Finally, click on "Validate" and your message will be sent to all your travelers!

Good to know: to send a notification to your travelers, return to the message presentation page. Click on the paper plane that appears at the far right, hovering over the line of the message concerned.

Finally, click on "Validate" and your notification will be sent to all your travelers who have an Android phone.

Duplicate an existing message

Hover over the "Traveler info" tab in the left-hand side menu of your Pysae interface, then click on "Traveler messages".

Here you can choose to modify a pre-existing message. Click on the pencil at the far right, hovering over the line of the message you wish to duplicate.

The text boxes are already pre-filled with the information of the duplicated message, but you can modify them as you wish. To find out what information to enter, please refer to the Creating a new message section of this article.

Display on the application

Messages you've sent are now visible on the traveler application.

Good to know: messages are broadcast in real time. They can also be programmed (predefined start date and time).
